Research Areas

His primary field of research is American Jewish history. Alongside his appointment in the Department of Jewish History, Prof. Segev teaches in the Ruderman Program for American Jewish Studies and actively participates in its various academic initiatives. Prof. Segev’s research focuses on the modern era, examining key issues such as the origins of the Jewish lobby, the activities of American Jewry during the Holocaust, and the complex interactions between the American Jewish community, the pre-1948 Yishuv, and the State of Israel.
