My research explores adaptations of Shakespeare’s plays across diverse Middle Eastern countries, focusing on novels written in English, Arabic, and Hebrew. I examine how the Shakespearean drama is localized within the region's political and historical contexts, studying the complex cultural and linguistic dynamics in the interaction with the Shakespearean authority. I am interested in how contemporary literature has the power to rewrite and define the Middle East.
