My research examines narratives of fatness and fat characterizations in an effort to locate and define the New Fat Fiction. I focus on contemporary American literature across various genres and explore how these works reimagine fatness in light of recent advancements in Fat Studies, particularly in research on anti-fatness and institutional fat bias.
