השכלה
אני בוגרת של האוניברסיטה העברית בה למדתי בחוג לשפה וספרות ערבית ובחוג למזרח תיכון ואסלאם. המשכתי ללימודי התואר השני בחוג לשפה וספרות ערבית באוניברסיטת חיפה. במסגרת הלימודים כתבתי תזה שעסקה בהתאמת התארים בקוראן. השלמתי את התואר השלישי באוניברסיטת ארלנגן-נירנברג שבגרמניה. הדוקטורט שלי עסק בסדר המילים במשפט הפשוט בקוראן.
תחומי מחקר
תחביר הערבית הקלאסית והערבית המודרנית. תחום התמחות עיקרי תחביר הקוראן.
תחום המחקר העיקרי שלי הוא תחביר הקוראן ואני עוסקת בנושאים כגון: זמן ואספקט בקוראן, ניתוח לשוני של סוגי השיח בקוראן, התחביר בפרשנות הקוראן, תפקיד המיליות בקוראן ועוד.
אני מגדירה את עצמי כבלשנית פונקציונלית, כלומר עיקר עיסוקי הוא בשאלות כגון מדוע יש שימוש במבנה מסוים? איזו פונקציה הוא משמש בשיח? מדוע נבחר מבנה זה ולא מבנה מקביל?
מתודולגית המחקר שלי משלבת אספקטים שונים: כתבי מדקדקים, ניתוח שיח, פרשנות הקוראן, תרגומי הקוראן, תאוריות בלשניות מודרניות והשוואה עם מבנים מקבילים מהעברית בכלל ומהמקרא בפרט.
